Tallywacker Red – Inspired by our love of traditional Irish Red Ales, Tallywacker Red combines a malty backbone of Maris Otter, a Touch of Chocolate Rye and a blend of Kilned Malts to achieve it’s signature redness. Traditional Willamette and East Kent Goldings hops plus an authentic Irish Ale yeast create a perfect balance to the palate. The amber-red hue and lacey white head add to the beer’s beauty while temptingly balanced malt sweetness/hop bitterness makes this one of our favorite session beers. Alcohol by Volume – 5.8%
Cranberry Wild Rice – This seasonal variation of our wildly popular Lemongrass Wild Rice Ale is something to behold! To a base of Pilsen, Rye and Honey Malt, we add a cereal mash of Minnesota Wild Rice to create a clean, crisp fermenting beer. Mosaic Hops add a touch of bitterness and a bit of Citrus Fruitiness - then Fresh Cranberries in the secondary add color and tartness to this easy drinking gem. Alcohol by volume – 5%
Kolsch – Our special take on a classic golden light German specialty beer; brewed with a hybrid cool fermenting yeast, then cold-conditioned for a smooth refreshing taste. Continental Pilsner, Wheat, Rye and Acidulated malts combined with authentic German Hallertauer Mittelfrueh and Tettnanger hops add to the beer’s complexity. Alcohol by Volume – 5.4%
our flagship beers
Sweet Potato Stout – Our most award-winning brew, Sweet Potato Stout is the flagship beer of Badbrew Brewing Company. Six different malts – including a healthy dose of roasted and dark barley, sweet potatoes, honey, and a touch of maple & nutmeg combine to create an unusual taste experience. A caramel-colored creamy head tops off the beer’s black, silky smooth body. Alcohol by Volume – 7.2%
Bogwater Brown Ale – The most requested beer of Badbrew Brewing Company, Bogwater Brown Ale combines a smooth drinkability with a taste unique amongst brown ales. Bogwater is brewed using British Maris Otter malted spring barley, flaked barley, and a blend of roast, aromatic and dark malts; then gently bittered with German Perle and American Mt Hood hops. Named “Best Beer” in the 2001 Deep Creek (MD) Homebrewing Challenge, Bogwater Brown Ale was brewed commercially by Deep Creek Brewing Company during the winter of 2001-2002. Best served at cellar temperature in a cool glass. Alcohol by Volume – 5.3%
