Lemongrass NEPA – (New England Pale Ale). A lemony twist on this hazy beer style with a soft body and silky mouthfeel. To a mix of Pilsen & Pale malts, seven flaked grains, wheat and golden naked oats, we add fresh Lemongrass and Motueka Hops. This New Zealand hop adds its own citrus character to this amazing brew. Best served chilled in a pint glass. Alcohol by volume – 6.1%
Oyster Stout – This seasonal classic is a rich, dark, full-bodied stout brewed with fresh whole Chesapeake Bay oysters. Overtones of roasted barley combines with a slightly creamy, briny finish to this velvety smooth beer. A healthy dose of flaked oats added to the mash contributes to its complexity. The brew is topped off by a thick brown head and finishes with a very subtle hop nose. Alcohol by Volume – 6.1%
Altbier – This Düsseldorf Altbier (Old-Style Ale) is reminiscent of the German Rhineland style of darker ales brewed long before the modern European switchover to light colored ale. Düsseldorf Altbier is full bodied, full of flavor and maltier than other amber brews. Badbrew Brewing Company’s version of this classic beer is brewed with German Pilsner, Munich, Caramel and Melanoidin malts, lightly hopped with German noble hops, then cold conditioned to create a smoothness not found in traditional ales. A perfect beer for the cooler season. Alcohol by volume – 5.6%
Sweet Potato Stout - One of our Flagship Brews (See the Story and Description of this award-winning beer below)
our flagship beers
Sweet Potato Stout – Our most award-winning brew, Sweet Potato Stout is the flagship beer of Badbrew Brewing Company. Six different malts – including a healthy dose of roasted and dark barley, sweet potatoes, honey, and a touch of maple & nutmeg combine to create an unusual taste experience. A caramel-colored creamy head tops off the beer’s black, silky smooth body. Alcohol by Volume – 7.2%
Bogwater Brown Ale – The most requested beer of Badbrew Brewing Company, Bogwater Brown Ale combines a smooth drinkability with a taste unique amongst brown ales. Bogwater is brewed using British Maris Otter malted spring barley, flaked barley, and a blend of roast, aromatic and dark malts; then gently bittered with German Perle and American Mt Hood hops. Named “Best Beer” in the 2001 Deep Creek (MD) Homebrewing Challenge, Bogwater Brown Ale was brewed commercially by Deep Creek Brewing Company during the winter of 2001-2002. Best served at cellar temperature in a cool glass. Alcohol by Volume – 5.3%
